We were huge fans of District 9, so when we got the chance to hang out at Comic Con with Neill Blomkamp + Matt Damon AND Jodie Foster (?!) to hear about their new movie Elysium, we couldn’t pass it up.  It sounds like Blomkamp will be exploring similar themes in Elysium as District 9, exposing the stark differences between the haves and the have-nots, only this time in space (and infusing new meaning to the term “universal healthcare”).  The best (and very light) spoiler we heard came from Jodie Foster in response to whether Matt is once again playing a “shy, quiet, reserved” character: I only have one scene with Matt and in that scene he’s very quiet.  Because he’s gagged. We seriously could not love her more.
